Chili’s offers a kid friendly menu and many different promotional coupon’s which can be very appealing to families who seek fast and easy dinner options. The lunch menu and happy hour menu is generally more popular for young professionals who enjoy the fun atmosphere and affordable prices.Their website is colorful and displays a mix of traditional American and Tex-Mex influenced cuisine. They have an all day menu and have special promotional deals which are usually displayed on the front page of their website. They offer the option of ordering food online on their website which is available of the first page as well that conveniently takes you to a location search and then allows you to order online for in store pickup or dining.


I feel that the Yellow Deli is primarily focused on reaching local crowds of people with a more liberal mind set. The yellow deli therefore prides their restaurants as a student friendly atmosphere, where a lot of college students go to study and stay for long periods of time. Their style of service is very relaxed and friendly. They target earthy and open minded people. They have several locations throughout North America. Their restaurants are centered on organic and home grown food, which a lot of people can appreciate. Their website is centered on their locations and stories of how their location came to be, beliefs, and menu. It’s very simple because their customers are generally attracted by word of mouth. Their website is there for those who hear about them and want to know more before they visit. The reason why people are interested in the Yellow Deli is because they are so unique and very different from the majority of restaurants in North America. Which in itself creates an amazing market niche of their very own in which people come due to pure curiosity and amazement. If the Yellow Deli used the same marketing techniques and strategies as Chili’s they would be insanely busy. But, because Chili’s isn’t as unique they had to really dig deep into their marketing and advertising techniques to compete with their “many” competitors such as: Apple Bee’s, BJ’s, Chevy’s Denny’s, Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse, Red Lobster, and T.G.I. Friday’s. The point I’m trying to address here is really figure out what make’s you unique as a business because that combined with a great marketing plan will contribute to substantially higher success rates.
