πŸ‘‘Visual is King of Social MediaπŸ‘‘

The truth is we are all visual beings and it is fact that quality designs are now an essential component of social media and business marketing. To fully engage in social media a business must utilize it's visual mediums. Always keep in mind that you initially have 10 seconds to visually impact your viewers; this in turn will effect their long term decision making. I suggest keeping the design chic; simple, unique, and visually stimulating.

Here are some examples of website's that are crowned for their aesthetic beauty and award winning services πŸ‘πŸΌπŸŽ‰.

This is a perfect example of what a website should look like, it's simple, unique, and memorable. Everything you need to know is simplified into short titles on the menu bar.

Ford is another great example of another great website design it's simple and unique. It's organized and the colors contrast perfectly. The font is easy to distinguish against the background and the Fusion advertisement is visually stimulating.

Now that we know what a good website looks like, lets look at some examples of websites that are lacking and identify the problem areas.

As you can see the home page is very busy and the colors are almost blinding. The page scrolls downwards a few more lengths and is jam packed with content and is very unorganized. My suggestion would be to clean it up and simplify.

In this example the website is a little more organized, but very dull. The important headings are hidden and information seems as though it is blended together. The font is hard to see and many of the links are inactive. It makes me feel as though the hotel isn't capable of accommodating my needs, so therefore I'd move on to the next website.

  1. Hi Lena,

I agree with you about the Rover6pcar site, it is extremely busy and dated, it is in need of a face lift. If the site was cleaned up and separated into specified categories that are simple and user friendly. When this site has had a makeover I believe it will get better traction and more word of mouth publicity.
